We polled thousands of Americans from across the country. Unfortunately, many Americans have found themselves unable to work and in need of extra assistance. This country has decided to assisted disabled American taxpayers in some small way. However, our poll makes it clear that Americans do not want to extend this benefit to illegal immigrants.
81% of Americans DO NOT think illegal immigrants should get free Social Security Disability benefits.
19% of Americans DO think illegal immigrants should get free Social Security Disability benefits.
One of the most common arguments is that illegals by default cannot get free Social Security Disability benefits, because they are illegal and don’t have social security numbers. Without a social security number, there is no way to pay into the program, so there shouldn’t be a way to get paid out.
The social security system is strained as it is. Most Americans think that we should provide for those who have contributed, but don’t believe that we should be giving people something for nothing. Especially people who are in this country illegally to begin with.
So far, 81% of Americans polled DO NOT think illegal immigrants should be eligible for free Social Security Disability benefits. But still 19% of Americans are willing to provide free Social Security Disability benefits for anyone who come to America illegally. Should we send them the bill?
